2-Hour Video Master Class

with Master Facilitator & Award-Winning Mediator
Diane Musho Hamilton

Our cultural landscape today is one marked by great passion and care, and tremendous challenge and unease. The issues we are most concerned with—like race and immigration, sexual harassment, or bridging our political divides—are often those we struggle to address openly and directly. As the stakes get higher, urgency increases and so does our tendency towards polarization.

Whether we are discussing politics over the dinner table or working through racially charged issues at work, many of us feel a pervasive longing to have a better experience. To bridge the widening gap between positions and to arrive somewhere more productive together.

Is it possible to loosen up rigid right-wrong dynamics, uncover more nuance, and unlock entrenched perspectives?

How do we step into the fray and offer something more useful and more generative to heated and polarized discussions?

Can we remain calm in the face of disagreement and become a vessel for influence and transformation?

Diane Musho Hamilton is an award winning mediator and a uniquely gifted master facilitator, an author and a teacher of Integral Spirituality and Zen. She is well known as an innovator in facilitating group dialogues, especially conversations about culture, religion, race and gender relations.

For her leadership, she has been honored with the UCCR Peacekeeper Award in 2001, the Peter W. Billings Award from the Utah State Bar for Outstanding Work in Dispute Resolution in 2003, and the Brigham Young University Annual Peacemaker Award in 2016. Diane is a transmitted Zen teacher and co-founder of Two Arrows Zen in Salt Lake City, USA, having received dharma transmission from Genpo Roshi in the Soto Zen tradition in 2006. As a Zen teacher, mediator, trainer and facilitator Diane’s piercing insight and lucid interpersonal genius encourages us to consciously meet reality as it is with curiosity, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to aligning ourselves with goodness, truth, and beauty. For her, both meditation and mediation are fundamentally about bringing what is two, into one. This essential insight that lives at the heart of her commitment as a Zen teacher, and an integral teacher, trainer and facilitator.

Diane is the author of two books: Everything is Workable, and The Zen of You and Me, both published by Shambhala Publications.

Praise for Diane’s Trainings

Diane is a knowledgeable and dynamic instructor! The course introduced me to a variety of important concepts like compassionate listening and effective conflict resolution. The information and skills I learned in this course will be very useful in my work as a facilitator, in my family life, and my ability to be even more resilient – and I look forward to integrating them into my practice. Thank you!

There is little more relevant these days than how to engage others productively in the face of conflict. I am a big fan of Diane Musho Hamilton and to learn from her mastery is an absolute pleasure. The result for me was greater ability to respond to and influence shifts in interpersonal power — all towards the end of reducing conflict and building a basis for shared understanding.

Diane’s broad knowledge, quick thinking, and profound way of speaking and conveying her thoughts are unique and amazingly effective!

Camilla Giunchetti

Diane’s mastery in relating and communicating, plus her skill in helping others “see” was exactly what I was searching for. Training with her has catapulted me to another level of skill.

Amy Pasquale

Diane makes the unseen seen. Every time I work with Diane I am improved. It’s like going for a personal renovation—I look and sound better coming out than when I went in!

Studying with Diane Musho Hamilton has changed my perspective on how I relate to groups and how I communicate with them. Be it in a Board Room setting, or in a one-on-one conversation, I feel that I see more clearly what’s happening, I have access to more information, and above all, I am more present in the immediacy of what’s going on.
