Next Stage Facilitation™ Intensive

Freedom and Flow in front of the room

Experiential Immersion and Practice for Developing Facilitators

ONLINE - 5 Weeks

Next Stage Facilitation™ develops facilitative leaders, facilitators, hosts and leaders of groups into more naturally spontaneous, confident and insightful guides.

Through a balanced exploration of inner and outer dynamics, with ample experimentation, advanced facilitation practice, and personalized feedback, participants learn how to go off script, guide the energy of any group, and handle more complexity with ease.

An integrative, whole-person approach to becoming more masterful

When we are learning at our best, we are developing who we are inside, which changes how we engage outside. This puts us in the optimal zone of experimentation, risk taking, and reward. Who we are, how we think, what we do, and what we care about are brought together in a seamless and satisfying experience. We are not just learning, we are becoming more self-aware, more connected to others, and more alive with purpose and possibility.

This facilitation course has to be the best in the field. I love that I am leaving with a deeper sense of confidence in my personal capacity as a facilitator.

Become more masterful

The Next Stage addresses three key dimensions that define an excellent facilitator:

To build our confidence and feel more ease, we have to look inside. Increasing self-knowledge and uncovering our blind spots enables us to grow.

The ability to sense and respond to the group in real time comes from a facilitator’s sensitivity, openness, and attention. When we are aware of the many small, invisible and subtle sources of information in the room, we can adapt and respond in the moment.

Having a rich repertoire of tools, activities and interventions happens through exposure to facilitative mastery, through practice, and through experimentation. When we are engaged in repeated practice and feedback cycles with others, we just get better—period.

The Next Stage program is designed on the assumption that participants will be fully present for all live online sessions. When extenuating circumstances happen it is possible to review a session recording to become familiar with what was missed. However, the live experience includes practices and interactivity that cannot be replicated and will not be featured in recordings.

The Next Stage is designed for a wide variety of participant experience levels, and is focused on learning how to work in an integral way with groups and practice self-as-instrument approaches to Facilitative Leadership. Participants who gain the most from the training are those who already have some lived experience facilitating groups. If you are completely new to facilitation or guiding groups of any kind and are seeking to be introduced to facilitation method and tools, Next Stage is not the appropriate program.

Yes, you can expect about 60 minutes per week. For example, during the first few weeks of the training, participants are asked to watch a facilitation demo video. The Next Stage includes a private course website that offers supplementary materials as well as copies of all slides, graphics, and video recordings of the live training sessions. These materials are available to you to peruse at your convenience throughout and following the conclusion of the training.

You will be assigned to a small practice group that will meet several times throughout the duration of the Next Stage training. Your group will be guided by a faculty coach, who will provide feedback to you on your practice facilitation, and be available to answer questions and support additional discussion and integration in your practice group. There is no 1-1 coaching provided during the Next Stage.

We’ve compiled our most practical wisdom and experience into this new ebook - our top 3 facilitative leadership dilemmas - to give you valuable insights and new options to incorporate into your life and practice 🙂
